• Mar., 2009 --- Jim and Irene of Ohio have decided to build their casa in the sun. Welcome to the neighborhood!

February 2009

• Feb., 2009 --- A new couple is moving into the freshly dubed "Casa Sharon." Michael and Sharon are ready to exchange the bustle of Southern California for the beaches and easy-going-pace of Baja Sur. Welcome to Haciendas!

January 2009

• Jan., 2009 --- Happy New Year! We're beginning construction on "Casa Anna." Tim and Anna hail from British Columbia, and have decided to spend their winters in La Paz.

December 2008

• Dec., 2008 --- Graders, backhoes, and dump trucks are busy creating the road in Phase 2 and Phase 3. Soon you'll be able to drive to the top of the neighborhood.

November 2008

• Nov., 2008 --- We're busy transplanting hundreds of cacti in order to open up the road in Phase 2 and Phase 3 of Haciendas Palo Verde.

September 2008

• Sept. 1, 2008 --- Underground power installation is well underway for lots 17 through 42. These lots will feature concrete meter bases with elegant cantera stone, crown moldings, and individual mailboxes. For all those visiting the properties, please excuse the temporary mess; the wait will be well worth it!

July 2008

• Jul. 5, 2008 --- With our special Homeowners Association Meeting, we've adopted the robust condominium regime legal structure. This provides for mutual ownership of nearly 2 acres of ocean view common area, private streets, and an orderly administration.

March 2008

• Mar. 1, 2008 --- The first Homeowners Association Meeting was a great success (and a lot of fun)! The founding officers, the developer, and current and future owners participated (both present & via proxy). Several important items were ratified, including the 2008 HOA Budget and governing documents. In addition to lively debate on key issues, we enjoyed a tasty breakfast at the Los Arcos restaurant.

February 2008

• Feb. 27, 2008 --- Four lots sold this month and only half of the original 26 lots remain! Several beautiful properties are still available, but they won't be around for long. Contact a La Paz AMPI Affiliated Real Estate Agent and arrange a tour today!

January 2008

• Jan. 5, 2008 --- New Haciendas Palo Verde signs have been erected along the trans peninsular highway. Now finding the neighborhood is easy; just follow the signs!

• Dec. 15, 2007 --- Happy Holidays! We wish you a great holiday season and Happy New Year.

November 2007

• Nov. 5, 2007 --- New bougambilias have been planted and brighten the area along the road.
• Nov. 14, 2007 --- A new, red clay sand road has been laid in Haciendas. This minimizes dust and makes for a very smooth drive.

October 2007

• Oct. 3, 2007 --- A new Frequently Asked Questions section is complete and will be posted under the Information link soon.

September 2007

• Sept. 7, 2007 --- The fresh, new Haciendas Palo Verde Website is online. Enjoy the new photos, vivid colors, and extra simplicity.
• Sept. 29, 2007 --- The Haciendas Palo Verde Homeowner's Association Bylaws and CC&Rs are nearing completion.

August 2007

• August 10, 2007 --- We've connected the neighborhood water system cistern to the SAPA water system! The water system is now complete.
• August 29, 2007 --- Construction on the bridge, located between lots 27, 28, 29, & 30, has began.

July 2007

• Jul. 11, 2007 --- Palo Verde's environmental preservation plan has been authorized by SEMARNAT.
• Jul. 17, 2007 --- We've connected the master cistern with water distribution lines. Now water flows about a kilometer to each Haciendas lot. The next step is to connect the cistern to the public water grid.

June 2007

• Jun. 5, 2007 --- We're working to complete Palo Verde's environmental preservation plan. This involves designating cactus and trees to be transplanted and preserved.
• Jun. 15, 2007 --- The master water cistern is being completed, which will help ensure that the water system has ample reserves.
• Jun. 25, 2007 --- The foundation is being laid for a new home being built by Mares Construction.

May 2007

• May 5, 2007 --- The Haciendas Palo Verde entrance letters are up and look very inviting.
• May 10, 2007 --- Construction has begun on the water system master cistern.

April 2007

• Apr. 7, 2007 --- The Haciendas Palo Verde road is being freshly graded and extended. Now every lot has direct road access.
• Apr. 10, 2007 --- The new backhoe has arrived! We've put it to work installing water to Haciendas Palo Verde.
• Apr. 20, 2007 --- The neighborhood entrance is being completed. We've installed a gate for construction site security.

March 2007

• Mar. 15, 2007 --- The Palo Verde Group has purchased a backhoe. This new piece of heavy equipment will be utilized immediately to help scrape, level, and dig the project to completion. But, in true Palo Verde fashion, we'll make sure to preserve as much vegetation and habitat as possible, and handle the machinery with care.
