La Paz, Southern Baja California, Mexico

Rated by CNN's Money Magazine as “one of the best places to retire," La Paz is the capital of the state of Baja California Sur.  Without question, it is one of the most beautiful and economically endowed cities on the Baja Penninsula.  The surrounding waters hold such a diversity of life forms that they were dubbed by Jacques Cousteau as “Nature’s Aquarium”.  The crystal blue waters and protected wildlife refuges attract sportsman and naturalists alike and the opportunities for fun and adventure exist year-round.  The city also boasts four universities, a number of highly rated hospitals, and one of the highest levels per-capita income in Mexico.

Traditional Mexican architecture and foods blend with modern day amenities such as high speed internet, satellite TV, airport access, and an ocean front boardwalk (“Malecon”) to provide a unique feeling that cannot be found elsewhere.  Despite its allure, La Paz remains one of the best kept secrets in the northern hemisphere.
